Hi, we’re David and Lauren Laughlin — the team behind Laughlin Photography.
We’re high school sweethearts raising four beautiful (and delightfully rambunctious) kids: Lincoln, Harrison, Jude, and Scarlett. They are our whole world — and honestly, the reason we first picked up a camera. We wanted to document the wild, chaotic, beautiful life we were living, but quickly realized that a great photo or film does more than freeze a moment — it creates a way back to it.
Laughlin Photography officially launched in 2024, built at the intersection of an analytical, data-driven mind and a creative heart. That balance shapes everything we create. While the creative side is drawn to raw emotion, meaningful connection, and golden-hour light, the analytical side is obsessed with the technical craft behind the camera.
Whether calculating light for a sunset ceremony, capturing cinematic aerial perspectives with a drone, or shaping a film through rhythm and pacing in the editing room, that technical precision allows the heart of the story to shine through.
Our Goal
We want to give you more than just a gallery or a video. Whether we’re documenting your family’s newest milestone, the fast-paced energy of a wedding day, or creating a cinematic commercial project, our goal is always the same: Create. Something. Lasting.
To us, every session is an opportunity to build relationships, celebrate the community we call home, and preserve the moments that matter most. We believe your story — both the quiet moments and the milestone moments — deserves to be told with heart, intention, and craftsmanship.

Meet the Team
David
Lead Photographer, Editor, and Writer
The guy behind the camera and the glow behind the edits. David handles the shooting, the storytelling, and the fine-tuning that turns moments into something lasting. Equal parts technical and creative, he’s fueled by good light, good people, and the belief that the best photos feel honest.
He loves coffee — hot or cold — making music (His Gibson J-45 is his main squeeze), and spending time with his family. Ten out of ten, you’ll find him in the wild with at least one of these in hand: a gaggle of kids, a camera, or a cup of coffee.
Lauren
Head of Quality Control & Logistics
The steady hand that keeps everything rolling smoothly. Lauren is the final set of eyes before anything is delivered and the voice of reason when things get chaotic. She makes sure every session, gallery, and experience meets the standard — and then raises it.
Lauren is the glue of the Laughlin family — making every lunch, folding every pair of socks, and is the Chief Financial Officer — AKA, the Amazon account is in her name.
Lincoln
Lighting Assistant
The official light wrangler. Lincoln helps carry, place, and occasionally reposition the lights — and somehow always knows when something needs adjusting. He’s learning the flow, understanding the process, and already offering some surprisingly good suggestions.
When his phone is not in his hand, he’s a budding creative. Lincoln loves creating things — either with Legos, through drawing, or in Minecraft.
Harrison
Assistant Lighting & Energy Coordinator
Part helper, part hype man. Harrison brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and just enough chaos to keep things fun. Whether he’s learning the ropes or helping keep spirits high, he plays an important role in every behind-the-scenes moment.
When not in school, Harrison loves reading, basketball, and playing games on his tablet. Of course, his favorite word is “butt.”
Jude
Creative Inspiration
Keeps us nimble, patient, and ready for anything. Jude’s quick wit, sass, and perspective remind us how to work with people of all ages — with kindness, playfulness, and a sense of wonder that shows up in the final images.
In his free time, Jude can usually be found pestering his brothers, taking naps at inopportune times, or playing with Legos.
Scarlett
Creative Inspiration
Proof that magic happens when you lean into the moment. Scarlett brings personality, an unmatchable sweetness, and heart — the kind that teaches us to slow down, stay present, and capture what’s real instead of what’s perfect.
While her brothers are engulfed in a tornado of craziness and action, Scarlett can usually be found 6-10 feet away, occupying herself with her favorite dolls.
